Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words about my last post. It is so great to know that no matter the struggle, God is bigger. I have real community here (even if I don't see you face to face). So here is a great big cyber hug (is that creepy??) Oh well....
I haven't had much time to sew this week (we've been busy at work with lots of training to prepare for). Last week I sewed up this painting smock for my nephew Kellen. It was pretty simple to make (I got the pattern out of Bend the Rules Sewing). It was the first time I had used a zigzag stitch. I kind of liked the way it looked. One more technique to add to my sewing belt.
I made this cute little softie too (out of Bend the Rules again). He was a little rough around the edges but I'm betting a 2 year old doesn't mind.
Also, please pray for my nephew Keagan. You can read the full story here.
Good night my lovelies.

how cute! Just curious, what kind of sewing machine do you use? I always am wishing i had one, but never get around the wanting to spend the money to get one...but I'm about at that point and need to know what I should look for! Let me know =)
I'd be temped to go get a marker if I'd made it...

Hi Shannon. I enjoy reading your blog and seeing all of your projects. You are very talented! I just wanted to unlurk and write that I hope your nephew is okay. I'm sure it is a very trying time and I agree with his mom...you never want to see your child suffer. Take care.
