Meet my Gramma and Grampa Gardner (my maternal grandparents).

Aren't they adorable?

They are some of the constants in my life. Aren't I lucky?

I grew up just a few miles away and spent many days with them. Not to mention every Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter... you name it.

They always had a pot of coffee on. That is where I learned that coffee tasted good with milk and sugar.

They also ALWAYS had marshmallows. I think I ate marshmallows every time I visited, which was a lot.

A few times when my mom worked, I stayed with them when I was sick. I remember my Gramma made me the best toast ever. I didn't know that toast could be so yummy.

My Gramma has soft brown eyes. My Grampa is super ornery and has a great laugh.

And now Ruby gets to know them. Isn't she lucky too?

They are wonderful and I love them.

I have always felt some kind of ownership over my nephews. I mean, I realize they aren't mine but I'm fairly certain that I love them like they are. Since the first one was born, almost 4 years ago, I was head over heals in love. And the two that came after him followed suit. I think my heart grew larger each time.

This is the newest one only 5 days old.

His name is Kade Isaac and he is a dream.

Ruby's First Swim

A couple of weeks ago Ruby and I went to my in-laws for a visit. It was was my soon-to-be sister-in-law's bridal shower so we decided to make a weekend of it. Unfortunately Matty couldn't come because of work... so I had to document Ruby's first dip in the pool. Daddy really missed out.

She was pretty unimpressed by the whole adventure. She really didn't make a peep.

Don't worry, Grandpa didn't really jump in with baby Ruby.

After she got out she was cold... and cranky. Grandma Jo put an end to that.

She really enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. Especially with Uncle Josh.

This is my sister. She is 8 months pregnant with baby boy #3! Yep, that's 3 little boys... under the age of 3. Isn't she insane?
