WWW (Winter Wonderland Wedding)

Congratulations to Chris and Lesley Turner!

Lesley has been praying for a winter wonderland wedding since she and Chris set a date for their wedding. Let me tell you, she got it!

Other than the fact that everyone had frosty toes, (only one car accident) everything went off without a hitch!

here are a few fun images from the festivities

The display of antique silver trees... this picture does not do them justice. They were gorgeous.

Praise the Lord that I found a new job.

Job Title: Visiting Training Specialist
Description: Basically I will be training employees of the University of Illinois how to use a new program that is being implemented, known as S.P.O.T. .

It is a pretty sweet job so far, I actually really like it. I am still learning the application and I am being introduced to a whole new vocabulary (these people really like to use acronyms). I am pretty excited to have the opportunity to work for an organization like a university. The benefits are amazing and they have the "more than 4, less than 8" policy. I am sooo much happier here than I was at my last job. God has truly blessed me with an awesome career opportunity & most of the project team that I am working with are Christians who really love the Lord. I can't express how blessed I feel.

Most likely over the next few posts i will be filling you in with some new happenings at the job.

Hate Your Job?

I have really been struggling with my job lately. Not really sure if it's the one for me. I have been working every weekend and this week I worked all 7 days. I have been praying for a new job where I would get to spend more time with Matt and my family and friends. At times I feel hopeless that there is nothing out there for me and I am stuck in the job I am at right now! Then I saw this.

It's a picture of applicants scrambling to write an Employment Test at Fototek Plaza, Opebi Ikeja, Lagos. Nigeria . Then I remember how blessed I really am to have a job at all. I am still looking for other jobs and I am praying that God will provide one, but until then I will definitely be content with all my circumstances!

I Live With A Boy

So I have decided to start a blog! I'm not really sure that I have the ability to write interesting things, but I will try and atleast keep it updated every now and then!

Matt and I have been married for about two months now! I can't believe it has already been that long. It feels like yesterday that we were standing before eachother vowing our love and forever committment but alas it is so. Anyway, I have actually adjusted to married life quite well. It has been pretty easy. However, there are certainly things I did NOT know about marriage that I know now.

1. Men shed an abnormal amount

2. He finds entertainment in seeing how
many times he can jump over the couch. (I think he thinks it's some kind of
workout. Or he is trying to measure the height of his vertical jump.)

3. He CONTANTLY reminds me of how
incredible HDTV is. Especially on Sunday evenings.

4. He loves to help out with the laundry
which is GREAT, however, I have lost a couple bras and countless pairs of pants.
He has since learned to read the labels very closely.

5. On more than one occasion I have found
him asleep in his chair. Your thinking... "that doesn't sound so
bad..."

Although marriage has it's little corks, so far it has been really easy and lots of fun. I guess it helps being married to a wonderful guy that doesn't take too many things seriously. We have lots more to learn and many years to learn it!
