Painting Smock

Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words about my last post.  It is so great to know that no matter the struggle, God is bigger.  I have real community here (even if I don't see you face to face).  So here is a great big cyber hug (is that creepy??)  Oh well....

I haven't had much time to sew this week (we've been busy at work with lots of training to prepare for).  Last week I sewed up this painting smock for my nephew Kellen.  It was pretty simple to make (I got the pattern out of Bend the Rules Sewing).  It was the first time I had used a zigzag stitch.  I kind of liked the way it looked.  One more technique to add to my sewing belt.
I made this cute little softie too (out of Bend the Rules again).  He was a little rough around the edges but I'm betting a 2 year old doesn't mind.
Also, please pray for my nephew Keagan.  You can read the full story here.
Good night my lovelies.

Hi Shannon. I enjoy reading your blog and seeing all of your projects. You are very talented! I just wanted to unlurk and write that I hope your nephew is okay. I'm sure it is a very trying time and I agree with his mom...you never want to see your child suffer. Take care.
