Week 22

At 22 weeks, Peanut was 11 inches long, the size of a Spaghetti Squash! Her lips, eyelids, and eyebrows became more distinct, and she's even developed tiny tooth buds beneath her gums. The idea that she already has little tiny teeth makes me smile.

I am definitely liking this stage of pregnancy. I am energetic, sleeping well, and I can feel her move constantly. Sometimes she flip flops so hard that it takes my breath away. She's definitely moving up in my belly, about an inch above my belly button. I feel like I am "getting used" to being pregnant. I don't really remember what it was like to sleep on my stomach and bend over without feeling like I I can't breath. I guess that's a good thing since I've still got a long way to go.

If only I had the time...

Week 21

Last week Peanut and I were 21 weeks along. She was 10 1/2 inches long and kicking like CRAZY! I am feeling so great. They say that the middle is the best part of pregnancy and so far I think it's true. I feel fantastic. I started my prenatal water aerobics class and it's going pretty good. So far it seems a little like a pregnant-lady chatting club (not really what I was hoping for) but I've gained a lot of knowledge about babies/pregnancy. At least the water is 92 degrees!

Since we found out the sex a few weeks ago Matt and I have started working on the nursery. It's still going to be semi gender neutral since we plan on having more children and don't want to have to repaint.

Last weekend my mom and I picked out fabric for the bedding and I can't wait to get started on it. I have a lot of work to do, especially since EVERY piece of furniture in the room has to be painted. We are hoping to get the painting finished before the cold weather sets. We've got our work cut our for us...

Week 20

Peanut and I are officially through week 20 and I am really starting to feel pregnant now...
I have already had a few people ask when I'm due, which is DEFINITELY a new phenomenon.
It feels strange to say "February" because it still feels so surreal.
Last week the baby was the size of a cantaloupe (length, not diameter)!
No wonder why my belly is really starting to protrude.
I still can't believe she is that big... and only getting bigger everyday.

We had my 20 week sonogram and as most of you already know, we found out that we are having a GIRL!

It's nice to start referring to Peanut as "she," which I am still shocked about (I feel a little guilty about referring to her as "he" for the majority of my pregnancy).
She does have a name already but we are keeping it secret, at least for now.

The doctor told me she weighs approximately 13 oz! I like that she is getting heavier, it makes me feel like if something were to go wrong she is starting to have a better chance of survival. (Praying that I don't have to worry about that).
Anyway... everything looked great at the appointment and Peanut is developing right on schedule!

The Holiday, Day 5

On day 5 we went on a tour of Blenheim Palace (the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill) and the Cotswolds... 

This was something that I was VERY excited about.  

I couldn't wait to see the old little English cottages peppering the English country side.

Our first stop: Blenheim Palace

The first village we visited was DELIGHTFUL... I fell in love with all of the adorable buildings and the shops.

We then made a stop at Arlington Row, which is in probably the most famous Cotswold village, Bibury.

This is definitely what I think of when I think of English Architecture!  

These fences are EVERYWHERE in the Cotswolds.  They are close to 900 years old...

And of course you have to walk on a Medieval bridge to complete the experience.

Our last stop was a tiny little village that had about 10 houses, all with thatched roofs and piping chimneys.  I felt like I had walked into a scene from the Holiday.  We had afternoon tea at a sweet little pub with SOOO much charm.

Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
