Week 23

Written by Shannon Leigh

This week, Peanut is a squash!
She is more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound! I can't believe she is getting that big, although my belly is really starting to show it. I feel like I really "popped" this week.

I have noticed that eating full meals is getting a little tough, there's just not enough room. I can't imagine what it's going to be like a couple of months down the road.

In other news, Peanut can HEAR now. According to babycenter.com loud noises, such as Izzy barking or the sound of the vacuum cleaner (which I don't use very often), won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb. This is a good thing... because Izzy tends to bark a lot! I want to start reading to her so she can familiarize herself with my voice but we don't really have any Children's books. I guess I could read the Bible to her...maybe she'll find it fascinating.
I guess I talk too much in general so I'm sure she already knows who I am. She's probably thinking can someone please shut that girl up!

At least baby girl is getting used to the sound of the shutter on my camera because she'll be hearing that A LOT once she's out of there.
I have my 24 week appointment on Monday so I'll be updating soon. Hopefully I'll have some new information to share.
